We had our first off-campus lab get-together to enjoy the beautiful weather and to celebrate surviving one of the biggest annual snowfalls on record in South Bend! We’ve also been busy at work getting the team trained on new exciting techniques!

We’re excited to officially welcome Emely to the lab as a new graduate student! Emely will be exploring injury-induced microglia subtypes and the effect of mimicking the inflammatory environment of mammalian microglia after SCI.

The lab welcomed rotation students Hannah S. and Gary and received our first federal funding!

The lab got fun and festive with the holidays! We had our inaugural lab Christmas party and entered the BIOS department tree decorating competition!

Whoa – what a month! Two new rotation students are joining the team. Welcome, Aditi and Bella! We also welcomed our new Lab Coordinator, Brittney, and Hannah! And Diana has chosen to join the lab officially!
